This marble sculpture is of Chalandriani variety. The arms are folded, the left above the right, as is usually the case. The legs and toes are indicated by incised lines. A similar line runs down the back from between the shoulders to the division of the feet. Several of this type were found in a cemetery at Chalandriani on the island of Syros, Greece. The museum had a sculptor create a rendition of the original and then had it cast in resin.
