Thes two paintings by John Singer Sargent (1856-1925) are part of a group of twenty murals commissioned by the MFA and executed between 1921 and 1925 for the rotunda and stairwell of the Huntington Avenue entrance to the Museum. To complement the grand style of the building, Sargent depicted mythological characters and stories from the classical past. The images tell no single story, but pay tribute to the Museum's role as guardian of the arts.

Set of 2 magnets each measuring approximately 2" x 2".
