About the Authors

Jill Carey, BA, M. Ed. is an Associate Professor and Curator of the Lasell Fashion Collection at Lasell College. Carey's teaching and research initiatives center on the relationship between dress and cultural understanding.

Catherine Pate, Brigham and Women's Hospital Archivist in the Center for the History of Medicine at Harvard medical School, has an MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons College and was the Archivist for the Giza Archives Project at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Frederic A. Sharf is a well-known collector, scholar and author. He specializes in buying archives of design drawings which he researches and organizes for public exhibitions. He has a special connection to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
