Archival Print FAQs

What sets Archival Replica Prints apart from other print options?

Each fine art print is produced specifically to order, and brilliantly captures the look and feel of the original artwork. Paintings and watercolors are meticulously photographed with a proprietary lighting technique to emphasize surface relief, thereby creating the illusion of three-dimensional texture.

Our in-house master color specialists use the latest high-resolution, wide format inkjet printers along with archival pigment inks and the finest, cotton rag papers. Each reproduction is proofed against the original work of art to insure the highest degree of color accuracy. With proper handling and framing, MFA Archival Replica Prints will last for almost 200 years* without any color fading or image degradation.

Sizes indicated for Archival Prints are the dimensions of the paper. The image size on the paper will vary for each image based on the proportions of the original work of art, allowing for a border.

The high-quality prints in this program are only available through the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
